Chef Allie’s Chocolate Orange Muffins
Chocolate and orange together are amazing so why not make muffins with that!
Chocolate Orange Muffins
Serves 12
Ingredients
4 | Small Bananas |
1/4 Cup | Liquid Egg Whites |
1 | Egg |
1/4 Cup | Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt |
1/2 Cup | Sugar |
1 Cup | Flour |
1/2 Cup | Unsweetened Cocoa Powder |
1 Tsp | Baking Powder |
1/2 Tsp | Baking Soda |
1/4 Cup | Unsweetened Almond Milk |
1 Tbsp | Orange Zest |
2 Tbsp | Fresh Orange Juice |
1 Tbsp | Vanilla Extract |
1/4 Tsp | Salt |
60 | Lily’s No Sugar Added Dark Chocolate Chips |
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- In a bowl add the bananas and mash completely.
- Add the egg whites, egg, yogurt, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, almond milk, 1/2 the orange zest, orange juice, vanilla and salt.
- Scoop out the batter into a greased muffin pan or use cupcake liners.
- Add chocolate chips on top of the batter with remaining orange zest.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Let cook for about 10 minutes and enjoy!
