Chef Allie’s Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken
This crockpot recipe is so versatile! Serve it over vegetables, pasta, rice, you name it!
Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken
|14.5 Oz||Canned Tomatoes (no salt added)|
|3/4 Cup||Aldi Marinara|
|3/4 Cup||Low-Fat 2% Evaporated Milk|
|2 Tsp||Dried Basil|
|1 Tbsp||Italian Seasoning|
|1-1/2 Pounds||Chicken Breast|
- In a crockpot add the diced tomatoes and marinara sauce. Combine the evaporated milk and cornstarch and pour in the crockpot. Add the minced garlic, dried thyme, salt and pepper.
- Add the chicken. Cover the chicken with the sauce. Season again with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Once done, chunk up or shred the chicken. Serve over pasta.
