Chef Allie’s Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken
This crockpot recipe is so versatile! Serve it over vegetables, pasta, rice, you name it!
Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken
Serves 4
Ingredients
14.5 Oz | Canned Tomatoes (no salt added) |
3/4 Cup | Aldi Marinara |
3/4 Cup | Low-Fat 2% Evaporated Milk |
2 Tbsp | Cornstarch |
1-1/2 | Minced Garlic |
2 Tsp | Dried Basil |
1 Tbsp | Italian Seasoning |
1-1/2 Pounds | Chicken Breast |
Directions
- In a crockpot add the diced tomatoes and marinara sauce. Combine the evaporated milk and cornstarch and pour in the crockpot. Add the minced garlic, dried thyme, salt and pepper.
- Add the chicken. Cover the chicken with the sauce. Season again with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Once done, chunk up or shred the chicken. Serve over pasta.
