Chef Hibah’s Thanksgiving Feast
The last In The Kitchen Thanksgiving Feast Edition is Chef Hibah! She was in the kitchen this week cooking up her very own Healthi Thanksgiving Feast! Each recipe was curated with our members in mind to keep them on track for the holiday! Below you will find find an appetizer, main dish, and dessert that we just know your whole family will enjoy!
Egyptian Style Mashed Potatoes
Serves 6 People
Ingredients
2 Tbsp | Olive Oil |
1 Cup | Chopped Fresh Parsley |
1.5 Tbsp | Cumin |
1 Tbsp | Salt |
1 Medium | Lime |
6 | Russet Potatoes |
Directions
- Peel and boil the potatoes until they are fork tender. Strain.
- Place potatoes in a bowl and add all of the ingredients.
- Mash until smooth.

Baked Lamb and Veggies
Serves 10 People
Ingredients
5 Lbs | Boneless Leg of Lamb |
10 | Gold Potatoes |
6 | Carrots (Peeled and Cut in Thirds) |
2 | Red Onions (Quartered) |
3 | Yellow Onions (Quartered) |
3 | Serrano Peppers (Optional) |
6 Cups | Chicken Broth |
For the Rub: | |
1/4 Cup | Melted Ghee |
1/2 Cup | Olive Oil |
101/2 Tbsp | Allspice |
1/2 Tbsp | 7 Spice |
3 Tsp | Garlic Powder |
2 Tsp | Cardamom |
2 Tbsp | Paprika |
1 Tbsp | Red Chili Powder |
1 Tbsp | Black Pepper |
1 Tsp | Nutmeg |
Salt to taste |
Directions
- Place the cleaned boneless lamb leg into a deep baking tray.
- Mix all of the spices, oil, and ghee together. Reserve about 1/3 of it for the veggies and then rub the remaining amount on the lamb very well.
- Next, add the rest of mixture onto the veggies.
- Place the potatoes and veggies around the lamb in the tray.
- Now, carefully pour the broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Cover very well, and bake on 400F for 1.5-2 hours or until meat and potatoes are fork tender.

Individual Sweet Potato Casseroles
Serves 4 People
Ingredients
7 | Baby Sweet Potatoes |
2 Tbsp | Brown Sugar |
1/4 Cup | Raw Chopped Pecans |
2 Tbsp | Melted/Softened Unsalted Butter |
1 Tbsp | Cinnamon |
1/2 Cup | Mini Marshmallows |
Directions
- Bake sweet potatoes until tender. Peel and place in dish.
- Add all of the other ingredients except the marshmallows, then mash and combine! Place equally in 4 small ramekins or baking dishes.
- Top with marshmallows and use a butane torch to toast the marshmallows.
