Can you even believe that August is coming to a close? It’s been a blink! Here at Healthi, we LOVE the change of seasons. Before we formally send off the summer, however, we want to give an extra lift to some of the great info and content that we’ve published this month! We’d be totally and completely remiss if we failed to mention the 100 Day challenge that just started!! She’s challenged us to pick a habit or a thing to focus on- and she’s guiding us to achieve success with that habit in 100 days. She started the challenge exactly 100 days before Thanksgiving with the idea of being “Healthier by Halloween and Thinner by Thanksgiving”. Don’t worry a bit about missing out on the challenge thus far. It’s, by no means, too late! Jeri’s Breakfast Help
Another great piece of guidance given this month, was by our own Coach Jeri. She wrote a great piece on how to get back to enjoying breakfast. There are myths circling around the weight loss community that either 1. you should fast though breakfast or 2. eating a large breakfast leads to weight loss. Neither of those ideas are factual. The reality is that we should find a simple, clean, and nutritious breakfast routine. Nothing too heavy, nothing too sugary, and nothing that sets up up for failure throughout the remainder of the day. Jeri provides food ideas for each one of those criteria! Click HERE to read!
This name should sound familiar, as Kim is not a new face around the Healthi community. This summer; Volleyball coach, personal trainer and Heat Bootcamp Instructor: Kim, concocted a six week workout program for us! All of which focus on specific muscle groups, training through low impact/ modifiable moves. If you’re interested in that series, click HERE to read and watch! Tracking Foods Raw vs Cooked
Our Head Coach, and tracking aficionado: Lisa Wood provided some awesome insight to tracking foods that start out as “raw or dry”. Think of pastas, meats, veggies, etc. These foods often find themselves on our tables, daily! Sometimes, we think we’re tracking things diligently, but really we’re making honest mistakes in how to calculate their values. We’re thrilled to say that the seasonal and relevant content isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon! Although the flavors and colors of things will begin to change (CUE GOLDEN LEAF CONFETTI!!), the purpose is still the same. We want to help you, as you help yourself in health and wellness. That being said, stay on the lookout because we’re dreaming up a big, intensive, September reset! We want to alleviate the typical September slump that our users typically see by hosting a 25 tracking challenge after Labor Day! Stay tuned for more details next week!
