For some of you, school’s out for summer! We love summertime! There is so much joy and excitement that surrounds this season. Especially if you have kids who are itching and buzzing for the fun and freedom that comes with summer. For those of us that operate, business as usual in the summertime, it’s fun to pick things to look forward to in the change of seasons. It gives us a fresh new perspective on things to be excited for and can also help add some variety to our typical day to day. Today, we’re sharing our Summer bucket list! Host an Outdoor BBQ
Nothing says summertime quite like friends, hanging outside by a grill or bbq pit! Now that things are opening back up, and we’re feeling safe in gatherings- it’s the perfect time to host a get together. If the weather is nice, opt for an outdoor setting. Again, the atmosphere and camaraderie surrounding a grill stacked with yummy food is unmatched! We love this idea so much that we’re dedicating an entire blog post to summer cookouts, tomorrow! Spend a Day by the Water
This almost feels like a given, for summertime. There is just something so peaceful and serene about spending time by the water. In addition to being a MAJOR cool off! Sometimes we spend time by the water for pure survival in the summer heat! Either way, we hope you find yourself by a cool pool or some crashing waves in the coming future!
Try a New Exercise or Activity
Here at Healthi, we LOVE being active! Especially when the sun is shining and you’re sweating out all of your inhibitions! This summer, get outside and get active! We’ll be sharing all kinds of ideas and inspiration for this topic, throughout the summer so be sure to keep checking in! Make Homemade Popsicles
Something about popsicles just immediately take us back to carefree childhood summers. They’re a great treat to add to your rotation because they’re easy to make and again, they feel exciting and special. Not just for kids, but adults alike! Visit Your local Farmers Market
As the spring comes to a close, there will be harvests a plenty. Find out where and when your local farmers market meets, and pay them a visit! This is a great way to get out and be active, support local businesses, AND find healthy yummy treats for your kitchen. There are tons of other cool things to find at farmers markets: flowers, candles, natural soaps and lotions! We’ll be sharing tons of summer recipe content in the coming weeks, so stock piling those yummy veggies and fruits for your next summertime dish!
